summer. Fall and winter is the time for Sailfish and King
Mackerel, wahoo and tuna are also caught. Inshore of that is the only
living coral reef in the United States which is home to a huge variety of
fish, and is very accessible to even small boaters given a calm day, which
are frequent in the Florida Keys. On a reef fishing trip in the Florida Keys
you may encounter Yellowtail snapper, Mutton Snapper, Grouper, Kingfish, and
many other species of snapper and other fish. Or tie up to one of the many
mooring buoys and sample the many dive sites along the reefs.
