by car, only a 2-3 hours south along some of the most beautiful roadway

the Keys even if you are going to get a boat rental and go it on your own, Charterboat fishing will give you some invaluable insider information into
the sport.
A short 3 mile boat ride can begin your offshore deep sea fishing trip, on
out to depths of hundreds of feet. Summertime Deep sea fishing in the
Florida Keys can produce such species as Dolphin (mahi-mahi), wahoo, tuna
and amberjack the majestic Marlin is also caught while fishing in the
summer. Fall and winter is the time for Sailfish and King
Mackerel, wahoo and tuna are also caught. Inshore of that is the only
living coral reef in the United States which is home to a huge variety of
fish, and is very accessible to even small boaters given a calm day, which
are frequent in the Florida Keys. On a reef fishing trip in the Florida Keys
you may encounter Yellowtail snapper, Mutton Snapper, Grouper, Kingfish, and
many other species of snapper and other fish. Or tie up to one of the many
mooring buoys and sample the many dive sites along the reefs.

scuba diving and snorkeling is arguably as great as its fishing. Islamorada
is a quaint family friendly fishing village that has many attractions
including its great nightlife, shopping, local artists and galleries, many
fine dining and casual restaurants, eco tours, water sports and the ever
present assortment of friendly locals which give the Keys their character.
The dress code is "Keys Casual" leave that suit at home! Sandals and shorts
are the norm here in paradise.
